Our HOSA Leaders in WLA
By Emma Yu

From August 18th to the 22nd, some of our HOSA leadership officers attended the annual Washington Leadership Academy in DC. Through this event, both state and chapter officers across the country gathered together to form connections and improve their leadership qualities.
On the first day, all members were welcomed with a grand opening ceremony that introduced the new international executive council team as well as provided information and activities in collaboration with the National Marrow Donor Program.
The group activities over the following days also helped our officers strengthen their skills in collaboration, communication, and innovation. After days of arduous lectures, all participants were rewarded with a tour of the National Mall and exploration of a few memorial parks. Overall, it was a really insightful experience that all future HOSA leaders should also take advantage of.
